My students love sharing their mathematical thinking on their individual white boards! However, our school lacks the dry erase markers my students need to show how smart they are!
My 6th grade students are dedicated, hard working young people who are driven to succeed in school.
However, with over 90% on free or reduced lunch, the majority of my students are unable to afford the basic supplies necessary for success. My students have fewer opportunities than students in affluent communities because of their lack of supplies. Please consider helping my amazing 6th graders!
My Project
I'm requesting three-ring binders and dry erase markers for my students to start off the school year organized and prepared to learn. I hope that my students not only increase their mathematical knowledge during their 6th grade year, but also that they leave the 6th grade with important organizational skills that will help them succeed in middle school, high school, and beyond. Three-ring binders will help my students stay organized this school year.
I am also requesting dry erase markers. My students love to use mini dry erase boards to show off their math skills, but unfortunately often have to fight over who gets to use the few working markers we have available in the classroom. Your donation will provide ALL of my students with the chance to show how smart they are!
