My Students

Our school is in a rural area that unfortunately suffers from a high unemployment rate and many broken families.

Our district is innovative and has excellent teachers and administrators, but unfortunately, like so many other districts, our budget is unable to cover all our needs.

We still want to try to get what is best for our students, opportunities that cannot be funded through the regular budget.

My students have a true love for performing. They want desperately to be a part of something, but we need help acquiring what they need. Our school budget can only go so far. Therefore, we need to find creative new sources for acquiring equipment.

My Project

We have a small supply of lesson books for students that need them and cannot get their own lesson books. This allows me to use them in class regardless of whether the student has been able to get their own or not.

Have enough method books to allow class and individual instruction is a very important step to having a successful band class experience.

Some of our books are in very poor condition and need to be replaced. Some are also missing covers or pages so they are not in fully usable condition and need to be retired from active use.
