My Students
My students are starting their own digital marketing agency for the Kansas City area and need your help to be competitive. The students at our high school are from low-income areas and attend schools that have difficulty finding teachers and resources. Our school is a technical branch that buses students from their high school to ours in order to learn practical job skills.
My classes will specifically focus on digital marketing and video production for local businesses in the Kansas City area.
Our objective is to teach students the skills they need to work for an advertising agency or corporate digital marketing department. Another important objective of our class is to promote locally owned businesses and charities in our area. We will be managing the businesses and charities as our clients.
We will be creating email marketing campaigns, social media posts, and videos to capture the essence of being a locally owned business in Kansas City. Help us make our space bright, creative, inspiring, and technologically capable. The investment we make now will empower our students for years to come in the workforce or when they open their own business.
My Project
I continue to grow our classroom library and have decided that the next section I want to work on developing is to inspire those who love comic books and animation. I started out by reading comic books and using tracing paper to draw my favorite characters.
With this superhero drawing section of our classroom library, students can learn the skills to draw figures and people for animation projects.
I have been delivering the books to students at home this year allowing them to be inspired by books about photography and graphic design. Many of them have mentioned that they wish they were better artists for animations that we create. By growing this area of our library, I will give them a resource for practicing and taking home a book or two to practice on paper. This will then translate to a better ability on a screen and understanding the dimensions of characters and figures.
