Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students make some of the best artwork around!
I teach art, grades 6-8, to some of the most interesting, unique and impressive students in the new york city public schools.
I was so impressed last year with the quality of the artwork that my students created last year, that all I have been able to think about this summer is 'how can I show off their talent?'. I know that my students would love to be able to have an art show to display their talent and I think it would be an amazing opportunity for them. I know that having these display boards would mean the world to both them and to me!
The display boards that I'm in need of would be perfect to transform a space into a gallery. I would be able to give the recognition to my students that they deserve. I couldn't ask for anything better than that!
I truly feel that this will empower my students and help them to realize that they've got real talent that is appreciated. Talent like theirs shouldn't go unnoticed - you can help them realize their potential!
