Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I work in a low-income school, and my students are the best-so, they deserve the best! I want all 110 of them to feel comfortable in my classroom so that they can feel loved, valued, and appreciated. I am in the process of transforming my classroom into one where all learners can enjoy flexible seating to limit distractions by allowing for movement for those who struggle with ADHD (bouncy seats) and more comfortable seating options (Butterfly chairs).

We are also in desperate need of Chromebook chargers.

We are almost 100% electronic and many of my students do not have chargers and cannot afford replacements. Our electric pencil sharpener broke this year, and it is something we use, especially me!
