My Project
All children need access to high quality explicit reading instruction to ensure their right to read and to assure their futures. According to the Children's Reading Foundation 74% of students who are struggling readers at the end of third grade never catch up.
I am trained in Orton-Gillingham and work with passion to help struggling readers from kindergarten through 8th grade. This online (Zoom) morphology course will give me the knowledge that I need to explicitly teach my older readers' decoding of multisyllabic words, vocabulary development, and advance their reading comprehension skills.
