My Project
One of my students is hard of hearing, and she is at that age (junior high) where she feels uncomfortable wearing her hearing aides because she is afraid of what others might say about her. This new generation of AirPods would be perfect for my student because not only are they sylish and popular, but the AirPods have a clincal-grade hearing aid feature that helps with mild-to-moderate hearing loss.
A lot of the time, my students will nod their heads when I ask them if they understood the lesson, and it is hard to determine if they are telling the truth until I reveiw their work or ask a few questions while in a small group.
By providing these AirPods to my hard of hearing student, I have no doubt that she will experience immediate success, and I will no longer have to wonder if she is falling behind because of her inability to hear at the same levels as her peers.
