Help My Special Ed Students Stay Hydrated/Nourished for Better Learning!

Help me give my students healthy snacks and drinks to help get them though the day without hunger. We could also use a mini-fridge/ice maker /microwave so that I can keep things cold or warm things up.

My Project

I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing Y5–3rd Grade Special Education students at our Title 1 school in our equity focused and culturally diverse elementary school.

Many of my students come to school hungry, and as you can imagine, it’s hard to focus and learn when your stomach is empty.

I am hoping to raise funds to purchase a mini-refrigerator with a freezer, an ice machine and microwave, as well as healthy snacks and drinks to help ensure that my students have access to nourishing food and drinks throughout the day. We could also use a mini-fridge/ice maker /microwave so that so students can have things cold or warm things. This small addition to our classroom would make a huge difference in their ability to stay focused, engaged, and ready to learn.

Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to our students. Together, we can help create a classroom where every child feels cared for, supported, and ready to thrive.
