This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I need resources to help my first-grade students learn about diversity so they can begin to understand, appreciate, and respect differences among people at an early age. At this developmental stage, children are forming their views about the world and others, so it’s important to provide age-appropriate materials that introduce them to different cultures, backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives. Quality resources—such as books, visuals, and activities—can spark meaningful conversations, build empathy, and create an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel seen and valued. Anything is greatly appreciated for my diverse classroom.
