This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach photography at a Title I high school in Prince William County, VA and don't have a huge budget for new materials. As one of the oldest schools in our county, many of our supplies are old, damaged or in some cases, even banned from use!

Light painting is our most popular unit in photography and we currently only have 3 light wands to share between 3 teachers and 200 students.

We would love to add some more of these amazing tools to our classrooms.

If properly cared for, these materials should last for quite a few years and hopefully spark the student's creativity and activate their creative problem-solving skills.
