Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I will be teaching my students the art of theater! The supplies I have ordered will help them in various ways. We plan to do some stories, and songs that we know and also act out some skits showing our school's mindsets! This encourages them to use speech in an exciting and meaningful way. Acting out roles help them understand and show emotions of a character, while also helping to show and understand the importance of displaying how they are feeling.
We will make our own specialized puppets to use with our new puppet theater!
It will be an engaging and meaningful way to communicate with one another. We will use the theater book for extra creative games we can play together. We plan to tie dye our hats and use them on outings and field trips. Light up peg boards are both soothing and a great fine motor tool! Pencils and dry erase markers are essential in the classroom. The pencils are also wider and will help our students grip and write with ease.
We are already off to a wonderful start to our school year! Help us make it even better!
