My students are highly involved in the community and work hard to model military core values. They are a little weak in literacy skills, and doing posters for many activities has been a successful strategy to help make their learning more visual. It helps them learn more taking, summarization, and other core skills that are transferable across all their classes. They deserve to have the materials they need to do this work available when they need them. I hope you help!
I go through posters like crazy in my classroom--two pads a month! Of course, they are expensive and not provided by my school. If you think about it, I need at minimum four per period, and I have seven teaching periods a day. Posters are a premium commodity in the class for sure. We use them very frequently to brainstorm, do group work, model to the class, make anchor charts, create visuals... you name it, we've made a poster for it. I do not know how I could run my classroom without this incredible resource. Thanks you so much for helping us out!
