Help My Class Explore the World of Books!

Help me give my students access to more books! Leveled books are extremely important in a classroom. This will help students find books that are just right for them, and help them to be successful in reading!

My Students

I have such a great group of kiddos! They work so hard every day and are reading and writing up a storm. There is such a range of skills and strengths in my students, and watching them apply what they learn is incredible. The look on their faces when they realize just how much they can do is truly amazing. My class is filled with inquisitive little learners and it’s my goal to provide enough resources to keep up with their love of learning!

My Project

Leveled reading is essential to students working on independent reading. Finding books that are the right level for each student, as well as books that target their vast array of interests is difficult. As a second year teacher, I have worked hard these past two years to build up my book collection. With only one guided reading series though, it’s hard to find books to match students reading levels. I would love to have both fiction and non-fiction books in my guided reading cart and give them more books to choose from! I can’t wait to see how this will expand students’ opportunities when picking their books for their reading bags.
