Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from a low-income school and they face many different challenges outside of the classroom. Many of my kids have so much enthusiasm towards learning. With that in mind, I try to create a classroom environment where they can have meaningful learning experiences.
Most of my students are going to be 1st-time college students and they need all the support that they can get.
My school is a linked learning school where teachers try to integrate the curriculum with our work-based theme of health.
My Project
My students are 1st time AP students. They have the motivation to take a challenging course but lack the skills necessary to pass the AP test. An Albert Small Classroom School Year License will give my students access to different types of test questions and will give the students feedback on their progress.
AP classes are rigorous college-level classes and my students are 11th graders.
They are taking on a big challenge by taking the course. My job is to take them as far as I can in meeting this high standard but I need support and the Albert resources will help immensely in getting my students there.
