Help me give my students books to read at home over the summer and incentives to finish off the year, prepare for testing and get a head start on students for next year!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With school and library closures my students did not have access to reading materials at home. Many students went months without reading a book during COVID. I teach at a title one school, with many students reading below their grade level. I have individually selected books I know they will love and will challenge them to read more daily!
All students deserve access to reading and learning materials inside and outside the classroom.
With this donation we will have: incentives, books, workbooks and water bottles to fuel their day. This will help all students be successful and finish the year off strong and prepare for fifth grade!
