This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a school counselor and was given a classroom to fill to provide students a space to decompress. I want to build an inclusive and welcoming space for all students in support of their success in their class.
This space is great for students who need to check-in or to do groups for social emotional well-being.
There is a large population of students of color in need of more connection to academia.
Books that include characters who look like them
is essential to an inclusive wellness space and I am
more than excited to be an advocate of representation by building a library filled with books that represent experiences from all over the world.
