I am so very fortunate to teach a wonderful group of happy, lively, six-year-olds who love learning and thirst for knowledge. Every day is filled with excitement and new experiences. My students are creative, inquisitive, and fearless when it come to learning. My students are just starting on their educational path.
I want to hook them on school, like a fish on a pole.
Learning should be a fun adventure and I am loving being their tour guide!
I love seeing the world through their eyes as they discover new ideas and create work that they never even knew was possible.
My students range in abilities, from children who are just putting letters and sounds together to those who are reading above grade level.
My Project
I believe that my students deserve the best. In order to give them the best I need to continue to learn, grow, and expand my bag of teacher's tricks. When teachers attend conferences they leave feeling rejuvenated and inspired.
Not only will I learn fun, hand-on, practical information, but I will strengthen my teaching core by learning best practices for the classroom.
This project will cover the registration fee for a two-day conference with Hope King and Amy Lemons (leading educators in our field.) As they share their passion and enthusiasm for education, I will soak it up! I look forward to learning tips, getting new ideas, and renewing my love of teaching.
This conference will help me, help my students. I believe in making learning fun and challenging. I have followed Hope and Amy online for years and look forward to enthusiastically sharing even more of their wonderful ideas with my students.
