My Project
As a new kindergarten teacher, I hope to create engaging center spaces to help my students develop their literacy at every point in the school year. I plan on using the wooden letter puzzles to help them develop letter association as an independent learning center early in the year, then move on to blending into CVC words, then finally writing their own short words and sentences towards the end of the year.
Many of our kinders come in without any background in preschool.
Having fun and varied centers they can use to begin their letter recognition, in alignment with our curriculum, will provide a sensory-rich and fun way to help engage our learners who need it most.
