Help Mrs. Yoo's Class Start the School Year With Success
Help me give my students more options for flexible seating. Clipboards and stools for small group work allow my students to take full advantage of classroom resources and space. Pillows are for reading books in our library!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Language Arts and Social Studies to 55 sixth graders at a CPS school on the city's northwest side. Together with a partner teacher, I differentiate for my student's diverse needs. Many of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch, and value school as a safe, structured place to learn and grow.
Our classroom library is a favorite spot and my students love to read!
They are curious about the world around them and always looking to learn more.
My Project
My students value structure as well as student choice, and more flexible seating options will allow me to meet the needs of my unique, diverse learners. Soon, my students will begin literature circles where they discuss novels with their peers. Clipboards and pillows will allow for more workspace in the classroom.
Additionally, stools will provide seating for small groups that I meet with for intensive support.
My students love being at school and have even taken it upon themselves to help me to organize our classroom library to make it more accessible. Please consider donating to help make our classroom a more beautiful and accessible space for all learners.
