My Students
I teach some of the world's most creative, hard-working, and vivacious students in the world. I know, I'm biased. They do amazing things in our classrooms, art rooms, concert halls, theaters, and dance studios, and go onto to become top college students and then professionals in their arts and every other field imaginable.
In this high school for the arts, students from all walks of life mix for four dynamic years, and is one of the most diverse schools in one of the most diverse cities in the world.
They are of all races, genders, as well as socio-economic backgrounds.
They are passionate about life and want to use their gifts for the common good, but also question the status quo. They graduate from here knowing their lives are to be used to make this world a better place.
My Project
I love my students and have loved teaching for the past eighteen years—but I never imagined I'd be doing it from my home! As you can imagine, teaching math to many students from a computer is really challenging.
I'd love to get an iPad so my students can see me teach and write math, and use dynamic online tools from home.
There are so many creative remote learning tools and websites I can use to make remote learning fun and exciting, as well as interactive with students at home. An iPad would greatly help my 170 students learn a difficult subject remotely.
