This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Lets MOVE N.Y.C.
I teach elementary physical education in New York. The majority of my students come from low income families.
The problem that my students and I are facing is the lack of key P.E. equipment. My student's love to move and look forward to my physical education class, however, I feel that if my program had more variety, my students will be able to find that favorite physical activity that will keep them moving for a lifetime.
The Multi-purpose net will enable my students to participate in tennis, volleyball and pickle ball.
The kinkless hula-hoops will enable my students to participate in various locomotor movements for the years to come!
The station circuits will help my students get the workout that they need!
Your help will make it possible for my students to find movement activities that they enjoy.
With your help we can MAKE NEW YORK MOVE!!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
