Help me give my students a rolling whiteboard because I currently have only one whiteboard that I use exclusively for projecting lessons and do not write on it. An Apple TV would be beneficial to update the technology.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The high school where I teach is in East Los Angeles and will celebrate its 100th anniversary next year! My classroom needs to be updated. It has three outlets that sometimes do not work and a green chalkboard. I am asking for a mobile two-sided whiteboard to write class agendas and key vocabulary that connect to each unit and remind students about class projects. The double-sided board will also assist in creating stations where students can write, and I can use it to explain lessons better.
The Apple TV, a key component of this upgrade, will ease how we share and interact with content in the classroom.
It will enable seamless wireless streaming from my device, fostering a more interactive teaching experience where students can easily share their work and engage with the lesson. I am limited by the number of outlets. The Apple TV would alleviate the multiple cords and provide a safer classroom for students to move freely. The goal is to have a modern classroom to the best of my capabilities, allowing students a more engaging learning experience without all the setbacks of having an outdated class.
The funding for this project will help the students now and in the years to come. My students deserve access to modern technology, just as the students in the schools five miles away do.
