Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Legos are an excellent way for kids to learn, fostering a wide range of cognitive, physical, and social skills. They help develop fine motor skills, spatial reasoning, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Children learn to think critically and strategically to find solutions when building and figuring out how to snap Lego pieces together.
Manipulating small Lego pieces strengthens fine motor skills, such as dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and finger strength, which are crucial for writing and drawing.
Our students spend a lot of time on screens in their homes, and providing opportunities to learn in a way that will stretch and change their brains, requiring both the left and right sides to work simultaneously, affords them chances they don't usually have.
