My Project
My students are very articulate and well spoken when it comes to academic however socially and emotionally those skills do not necessarily translate.
Having “toys” that help them self regulate and de-escalate themselves will help my students to become well rounded individuals.
Sometimes students just need a minute to themselves when their emotions aren’t in alignment. Having a place and space that is inviting and encouraging will make it easier for students to learn how to calm themselves and refocus. I think that it is imperative that students learn how to adjust and manage challenges situations emotionally.
