Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me to provide 5 laptops for my students in class. By supporting this project, you are helping kids to maximize their language learning skills with the use of a computer set in class. Children don't need to see languages or technology, as a barrier for their learning due to the lack of opportunities. This also prevents them develop the digital agency required for students at this age.

Please help us to support their education and maximize their potentials using these computers as a learning station in class, where everyone can still have a chance to engage and learn together practicing their language skills in rotations.

Despite being in a title I school with little resources; my students are special because they are brave and have overcome many challenges, they just want to receive an opportunity that help their education. These students are eager for opportunities that allow them to grow and shine. Our goal is to encourage projects that require using technology to solve real-world problems, fostering both tech skills and language proficiency. We want to use apps that combine language learning with fun, interactive activities, also these programs provide instant feedback, helping students correct mistakes and improve quickly. To develop digital literacy skills, students can use their computer, and they can connect with peers from different countries to practice language skills and learn about other cultures. We plan to use these five laptops to benefit at least many classes in elementary every day for a several classes of 25 students each. I believe using these computers will allow tailored learning experiences, adapting to each student's pace and level, we cannot afford 25 computers, at least 5 would make a difference. Digital tools facilitate collaboration among students, enabling group projects and discussions using many resources. Thank you!
