Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is a second home to my students. In fact, for some of my students, it's their only structured and safe home. Over 90% of my students are high poverty, and some of the students have special needs. The majority of my students are Hispanic children whose parents speak little English.
What motivates me to come to work each day is my students.
They are the future, and I need to make sure they are prepared for what society has in store for them. I believe in each one of my students, and I make sure they know it!
Now that we are no longer in school, my students need help to continue learning at home through this difficult time. Most of my students don't have the necessary material to work with and complete daily assignments that I have assigned. Many of my students miss being in school and need necessary tools to make the best of what they are dealing with right now. I miss my students and I want help them through this difficult situation by continuing to help them learn.
My Project
My students have been forced to learn on a computer at home for the rest of the school year and maybe longer. Many of my students need interactive materials to complete work that they would be doing in school. My classroom is made up of various abilities and levels. Having interactive materials for them to complete on their chrome books would be awesome!
Having the right materials so that I can help my students get the education they deserve means everything to me.
Students are going through a lot right now. Being able to purchase resources from Teachers Pay Teachers will be a great benefit for my students and help them learn on the chrome book. Finding activities that students can stay engaged and wanting to learn is the key to success!
