Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m a proud kindergarten teacher at a Title I school where many of my students face challenges beyond the classroom. I'm working hard to create a learning environment that is engaging, supportive, and accessible for every learner. To do that, I’ve created a project full of materials that will directly support my students' academic and social-emotional growth.
Here’s what we need and how it helps:
Over-the-Door Shoe Organizer & Magnetic Hooks: These will help me create a more organized and accessible classroom where students can easily manage materials independently.
Math Centers & Learning Kits (like the Snap! Math Centers, See & Solve and Learning Palette Kits): These resources will make hands-on math learning fun and help meet the diverse needs of my learners through small group and independent practice.
Literacy and Money Games: These games support essential reading and real-life math skills in a way that’s interactive and engaging—perfect for early learners who benefit from visual and tactile tools.
Book Display Shelf: Many of my students don’t have access to books at home. A front-facing shelf will allow them to easily choose books, fostering independence and a love of reading.
Every item on this list has been carefully chosen to maximize impact in our space. With your help, I can create a classroom where all students, regardless of background, feel equipped, supported, and excited to learn.
