My Project
My students love music! They love singing songs and playing instruments. They also love it when I introduce them to the amazing musical resources on the internet; from the curriculum available in our district, Quaver Education, to Chrome Music Lab, to the endless number of digital lessons available on TPT. What they are less excited about, however, is when I have to hook my laptop up to a projector from the 90s, roll the projector cart into the center of the room, erase whatever is on the white boards so we can use them as screens, and turn off the lights so we can attempt to watch something. I say "attempt" because, without fail, someone will bump into the projector and it will go out of focus, or students will be distracted by other students making bunny ears in the projector light!
A TV would make it possible for my students to reap the educational benefits of the internet without having to rely on the projector with its inherent challenges and limitations.
