This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a Special Education teacher at a low income\poverty area my students face some daily challenges. Our elementary school is located in a Latino community. I intend to make their learning experience a significant one by providing them with the tools they need. My students are also students with special needs. They come to school every day with new hopes on learning and they find a warming family of teachers that have passion for what they do.

My Project

Having a leveled books library and a phonics intervention kit will allow my students to have accessible assessments and materials in order to improve their reading skills. As Special Education students they need that one on one interventions and their reading materials to be adapted in order for them to make expected progress.

Your donation will help improve and built those necessary reading skills and leave those gaps in the past.

This will also bring self-confident to my students as they begin to see what are they really capable of. Reading is an essential skill in every students life to success and this materials will definitely help them meet their goals.
