My Project

I have a wonderful class! They are all students who have autism and/or very special needs. All of them have sensory disorders. As a self-contained teacher, I try to provide as many sensory items as I can and they are usually made by me. It would be so beneficial if I could provide some sturdier items from the rainbow activity wall and some sensory mats for my students to interact with so they can get the sensory input that their bodies and minds need. Many times students seek sensory items that their bodies need more input for. I have seen so much progress with all of my students over the past year and I would love to add to the experiences that I can offer them to help them cope with their emotions and the world around them. I would be so grateful to anyone who could help me provide this for my very special group of youngsters.
