My students are very sweet and are learning to read, do math, science, social studies and language arts. They range in age from 7 to 9. Our school is a Title I school and for many of our students the only meals they get are from the school. Many students parents can not afford to buy schools supplies let alone books.
My students are excited to learn through reading.
They loved to read books that are related to math and science.
I have taught mostly Math and Science over my teaching career of seventeen years. I have personally provided my students with books to read in the classroom and at home. The current books I have are for the 3rd grade and above. These do not match a second grader's reading level. Currently, students can not check out books from the Library, therefore, they are not practicing reading.
Please help me help my students by providing a classroom library of fiction, non-fiction and informational texts.
My students have had to endure a great deal this year and will continue this pattern until Covid 19 is over.
