Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are at an age when their parents want to create a portfolio on items they create with their own hands. For them to see as they are growing up. I will be laminating important projects or items they believe their parents would like to cherish for them. That is what I will be using the laminator in the classroom for.
In the group of kindergarteners that I have this school year I have five students that have never been in school before.
They are struggling and I need to create differentiation lessons right away and print them. I am also struggling when creating their differentiation assignments because of the lack of a printer in the classroom. Instead of going across the school to get the material I printed for their use I can have instantly printed in the classroom. I am not able to print the items I need right away by the time I get the material I have lost them, and it is very hard to gain their attention at the level and connection we had. That is why we need a printer in the classroom so we can print right away and continue with their learning without losing them.
It is very important that we have a printing and laminating machine in the classroom. Some of the lessons that I use for differentiation can be laminated and used over and over.
