I have been a speech language pathologist in the elementary schools for over five years. I serve students in grades k-6, but the majority of my students are k-1. I have approximately 45-55 students per year. I have 42 students at the present time, but will have more as the months progress. I strive to improve language and reading skills and to lay a good foundation for language and reading for ALL my students. Students must learn language before they can use language to learn!!! I am requesting 2 GeoSafari Phonics Pads for my classroom. This would impact all my students. This is an interactive learning tool specifically designed to assist students to master critical early reading and language skills. It comes with 128 exciting interactive lessons!!! The skills include learning letters, numbers, colors, shapes, rhymes, phonics and beginning reading. The program starts with sound and letter identification and progresses to advanced concepts like consonant blending and vowel diagraph recognition. The students will learn by listening and pressing the pictures on the illustrated touch-sensitive cards. My students can learn and explore with the phonic pad!!! Please help!
