Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Pre-K is where the adventure begins! This is the first year of school for most kids, and we have this year to try and make them fall in love with learning. We also show them that the skills they learn here, are lifelong skills. In Pre-K we learn letters, number, how to share, and how to be kind. My tiny friends know that all of this is important, I stress every day that reading is so important. My tiny learners are full of love and joy for learning! I live to see those "Aha" moments, and when they practice what they have learned! My tiny friends are energetic and always ready to learn. Please help me give them a comfy space to read and STEM manipulatives to develop more connections.
My Project
Today we learned that we will be unable to continue learning in our amazing classroom. This is very difficult to hear as a teacher, I can’t even imagine what my students are feeling. I was hoping to continue to get to teach my students and help prepare them for next year, However that is no longer possible. My students are now facing another hardship, they have to continue learning but without a teacher to help and guide them hands on. Even though I am able to communicate with them through the internet, it is not enough. If my project were to get funded I want to send my tiny learners an activity book to help them keep learning!
