Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a Pre-K teacher for a title one public school in Central Charlotte, NC. My students are always very eager to learn and love coming to school. Their inquisitive minds have motivated me to become a better teacher. I have a wide range of learning abilities in my classroom. All of my students come from diverse backgrounds and have their own special needs. However, their backgrounds and their needs are non-existent in our classroom, because every child has the ability to achieve at their own pace and in their own way.
This certification will make a difference in my students' learning by teaching me the current best practices that are available to teachers, and give me the opportunity to collaborate with teachers all over the country who are trying to obtain the same certification, as well as the chance to reflect on my current teaching practices.
The tools I learn throughout this certification project will benefit my students while they are at school as well as during their learning at home.
