This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are enthusiastic learners who come to school ready to take in the day's educational adventures. Most of my students come from low-income families, so the majority of the items (ranging from basic school supplies to books to facial tissues and more) are supplied by me.
Not only is our school an inner-city, but it is also a home; a home where we foster literacy and learning while having fun.
Instruction is rigorous and the students are held accountable for their learning. Teachers and students build solid and rewarding relationships built on respect and the understanding that we are a team and our one focus is the students.
My Project
Hello. Thank you for showing interest in project request. I am requesting an array of items that my students need.
The most important item on my list is a much needed class set of headphones.
My students all have a device checked out to them, and district-mandated academic programs with weekly and daily usage requirements. However, headphones were not purchased. The school headphones, what few we have, are subpar and often malfunction. I would love for each of my students to have a working pair of headphones.
Other items I am requesting are colored pens for annotating texts to aid with comprehension, chart paper to create graphic organizers and anchor charts, and a visual timer for my special needs students.
