This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am requesting a small library of professional texts related to best practices in reading, math and behavioral interventions. With these texts, we will offer our staff extensive support with choosing interventions for our struggling students.

I will work with teachers at grade level meetings to help them to dig into these texts to find solutions for all struggling students from grades K-8.

Acquiring professional resources, such as these texts, serves to re-professionalize teaching. Because these texts will be placed into a teacher library, their impact will stretch for years. With these resources, I can work collaboratively with my peers to grow as a teacher, improve school culture and students will benefit in the process.
