This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We now live in a digital world, and a digital classroom experience is imperative to accomplish sufficient growth gains. As we continue to close the academic gaps created by the pandemic, I want to ensure I have the right resources to connect with my Multilingual Learners.

I would like my students to have more access to technology and top-of-the-line headphones to utilize online learning platforms that can assist them with language acquisition.

A new pair of headphones will help me as their educator design lessons and make use of online resources to best meet my student's needs. Students will be able to practice English pronunciation by listening to pre-recorded lessons and using the dictionary to learn to pronounce words. When learning English, technology is your best ally. We can make use of learning platforms such as edpuzzle, which is great for building reading skills for Multilingual Learners, and Brainpop, which helps with visuals to aid in content learning.

With your help, we can bring education and technology together and give students the support they need. Especially English Language Learners who are often not able to get everything they need to support their language learning journey.
