Help me give my students Lenovo Chromebook laptops and Google Chrome Education Licenses to access on-line lessons and bring them up to the 6th grade English standards.

My Students

One of my 6th grade English Language Arts classes is a reading intervention class where I teach seventeen students who either didn't pass the ILEAP test last year or who are lacking the English Language Arts basic skills needed to pass 6th grade.

I remediate them using on-line programs such as the i-Ready program which takes the students where they are academically and provides lessons and tests on their level of weaknesses based on an initial diagnostic test.

They grow in areas of comprehension, vocabulary, reading informational text, and writing essays.

My Project

These Lenovo Chromebooks will help my students advance in their English Language Arts skills. They will be able to go on-line and use programs that will teach them skills they are lacking and provide lessons from where they are academically and move them forward to grow into the 6th graders they need to become! The Chromebook Education licenses are needed for each computer as our district will not fund any licensing. These Chromebooks will then be linked to our school's wi-fi. This will open up many opportunities to help my students grow to prepare for state testing!

In addition, they can use it for writing essays which will enhance their typing skills needed for state testing to help them grow in their state test scores!

Lastly, they can take Accelerated Reading tests in my classroom to improve their comprehension skills to a higher level!
