This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As I near the end of my time at my San Diego school, I am reminded of all the joyful moments I've spent with my students in our classroom. During this unprecedented time of Distance Learning, I am remiss at the prospect of sharing virtual goodbyes with all the students I have come to admire so much over the past few years.

Please help me go out with a bang by providing my students with School Supply STEAM Grab Bags, which I will deliver to their homes across San Diego!

Believe it or not, many of my students lack the essentials needed to get crafty with STEAM projects at home.

My Project

Imagine that someone pulls up to the curb outside your home and has a gift bag full of the school supplies that you really need, but don't have. Now imagine that someone being me! YOU can help me make this delightful dream come true for my low-income students who are stuck at home with not much more than the Chromebook lent to them by their school.

Delivering School Supply STEAM Grab Bags to my students in need is going to be one of the most memorable experiences of my teaching career, and certainly the very best day of my Distance Learning Teaching experience!

With your help, you will not only provide my students with the school supply essentials that they need, but you will also provide me with the opportunity to say goodbye to my students in person as I prepare for my next adventure in Pennsylvania. I am dreading saying my goodbyes in a virtual setting, and I know that my students would prefer to see off me in-person, too.
