Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach students with intellectual disabilities at a comprehensive high school. This special group of young adults requires lots of hands-on activities and personalized learning experiences. My students love looking at books, especially those with vibrant pictures and simple stories, and I would like to increase our classroom library to support their diverse interests. Our class would also like a class set of workbooks that can be used over and over, such as wipe-off books or reusable activity sheets. My students benefit greatly from repetition and need daily practice to retain information and strengthen their skills. Please help me provide my wonderful students with new books and learning resources to foster their growth and development.
