it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I am requesting, such as yoga mats and meditation/stress relief materials, will provide a dedicated space for my third-grade students to practice yoga, breathing exercises, and meditation. These activities will help reduce test anxiety, improve focus, and foster a positive mindset as they prepare for their first state ELA and Math tests. The mats will create a calm, comfortable environment where students can practice techniques to stay centered and confident, allowing them to approach challenges with a clear, focused mind.
The goal of this project is to support my students in developing emotional resilience, self-confidence, and effective stress-management skills.
By incorporating mindfulness practices into their routine, my students will be better equipped to handle test-related stress and will gain tools that will benefit them beyond the classroom.
My students are special because they are at a critical point in their academic journey—preparing for a high-stakes test for the first time. They are bright, eager learners who face pressure, but with the right support, they can overcome their anxiety and thrive. They are resilient and motivated to succeed, but they need the tools to manage their emotions and perform at their best. This project will empower them to take on challenges with confidence and composure. Your support will help make this possible.
