Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons and shared reading time.

I am creating an area so my bears can have the best way to increase their reading ability is to read more.

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the best choices for them. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that works for them. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they choose where to work. The other materials will help us with our day-to-day activities.
