Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would love to begin this with gratitude and express how much I appreciate Donors Choose! My project is a mix of necessities for 2025-2026 school year.
I would love to start out the year with flexible seating.
I currently use chairs and have scoop rockers, but I think the yoga balls and wobble cushions will be a great addition to my classroom because students will be more engaged and find learning to be more fun.
I am also requesting a class set headphones (with back up). We use iPads every day which means headphones are always breaking and needed to be replaced even with reminders and proper care. This will save time and frustrations in the long run.
Finally, I am asking for a new Rocking Chair because the current reading chair I have is extremely wobbly and is about to break. I love choosing a "reader/author of the day" and rewarding a student with having them sit in the rocking chair. I model my own love for reading by reading to my kids in it. Kids love the chair and a replacement chair would be amazing.
In conclusion with your donations, my class will be a safe and comfortable learning space and I will rest assured knowing I will be ready for the 25-26 school year!
