My Students

I think what makes my classroom special is the joy felt in it. My students feel a sense of belonging and love in the classroom. This not only comes from me, but from their peers. Being a new teacher, there is so much to learn. I want to learn as much as I can so I can give my students all that I know in hopes of preparing them for their future.

It's all about the students.

Most of my students do not have the best home or family situations, but they know our class is a family. And as I tell them from Lilo and Stitch, "family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

My Project

This professional development is full of ways to make school engaging, exciting, and even a bit magical for students. By attending this, I will learn skills and strategies that are ways to get children excited about school and wanting to come to school. As a new teacher, I still have a lot to learn. Who could imagine a better way to learn about teaching than from some of the top educators all in one place?

Teachers attend professional development with their students in mind as their top priority.

Everything I learn at this conference will be brought back to my classroom come August. Which is a perfect time to implement new strategies of engagement since students are still in 'summer mode.'
