My Students

My second graders are loving, energetic, inquisitive, and fun! They know how to love big. I have seen their tender hearts moved to tears in their empathy for others. I have witnessed their random acts of kindness. My students have a contagious joy that brings a smile to my face every single day and I'm so thankful I get to be a part of their day.

My students grow and thrive in a classroom that is engaging, inspiring and full of love.

We are a family in our classroom that supports each other and works together. It is so exciting to see the thrill of success on a student's face after accomplishing something new. My students work hard and no matter what life seems to throw at them, they know they can be successful in our classroom.

My Project

I have a passion to see students succeed, thrive and GROW! I want to soak up and learn everything I can, so I can be as impactful as possible in the lives of my students. The Get Your Teach On National Conference is an incredible experience to learn research-based strategies from top educators that I can bring back and implement in my classroom.

Hi, my name is Lori and I'm a 2nd grade teacher at an economically disadvantaged Title I Elementary School in Gallatin, Tennessee.

Our school serves a diverse population of students who are economically disadvantaged and come from backgrounds that often require an infusion of passion and engagement for learning. Our students deserve the best. I am SO excited about the opportunity to bring back the ideas, best practices, and teaching tools from GYTO to my classroom!
