My amazing first graders are very eager learners with a great sense of pride in what they do. They want to succeed and need a lot of encouragement and support to complete the tasks that are required of them.
I have a wide variety of levels within my classroom so it is necessary for me to find ways to engage all of my students in every activity that we do.
Having an inclusion class, my students consist of identified special education students as well as non identified students but they all have specific needs to ensure they are successful learners.
My very energetic group has so many unique abilities and gifts that I want to be able to encourage all of them to shine. I want them to know that I believe in each of them and can see the special qualities that they each possess. They keep me laughing and I am thankful that I get to spend every day with this group!
My Project
As a teacher I am always looking for new and exciting ways to keep my students engaged and learning. Attending the Get Your Teach On National Conference will let me network with other teachers from around the country while learning from leaders in the education field.
GYTO is an uplifiting and motivating conference that will teach me many new ideas and inspire me to do the very best work for my students - they absolutely deserve it!
As the conference is during the summer, this opportunity will help me to prepare exciting and innovative activities for the 2019 - 2020 school year.
