I am a 1st year teacher who is eager to get started in my classroom! I am excited to meet my new students in August and I plan to spend this summer in multiple trainings to be the best teacher that I can be. I want to be more than just a teacher to my students, I want to be someone that they can lean on. I want to encourage them not just during the school year but throughout their lives.
Our school has about 700 students in 4th-5th grade.
Our students come from all different backgrounds.
We are a Title I school where many of our students receive free and reduced lunches as well as weekend backpack food. Many of our students are English Language learners, hold Individual Education Plans, are on Tier 2 and/or 3 for academics or behavior, or undiagnosed learning disabilities. Several of our students do not have internet access at home.
My Project
I am eager to learn from other peers who are diving in and going deep with their students. At GET YOUR TEACH ON, I will be able to work with other 4th grade teachers from across the nation. I will learn new ideas to bring to my own classroom.
I am passionate about teaching and passionate about seeing children's lives changed, this conference will equip me with knowledge to be able to do this.
At the conference there will be different sessions throughout the day. Each session is taught by educators. At Get Your Teach On, you are poured into and inspired to teach in a new way.
