Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom students are from a low social economic area. Our students receive 100% free and reduced lunch. I was born and raised in the community I teach. We enjoy looking beyond the textbooks and thrive on hands-on-activities to become "engineers" in our learning. My goal as a teacher is to provide academic mastery and teach the fundamentals of learning, and most importantly to be able to teach students that they can achieve anything they put 100% effort.
I can totally relate to my students and being bi-lingual also helps me to communicate with my families and encourage parent involvement.
My Project
Help me get my TEACH on at the National Conference held in San Diego, CA on June 24 - June 26, 2018 ! This conference is a gathering of many top teachers in the nation sharing their experience and motivating teachers to promote engaging learning opportunities for all students. Learning new skills, tips and tricks from top teachers from around the country will provide me with professional motivation in my classroom.
According to the GYTO website, "Get your Teach On” is sure to be unlike any other educators' conference that you will attend, you will leave feeling empowered, motivated and prepared to create dynamic lessons that will challenge your students and leave them hungry for more.
Please help me be the best teacher I can be for my students by growing and learning from these amazing educators!
