My Project

I teach in a low-income school in a large city in Ohio. All students are eligible for free lunch and come from a low socioeconomic background. My students are in grades 6-8 in a self-contained classroom. My special education students are a unique blend of young people who have a range of disabilities. Our students are at 100% poverty level.

My scholars need learning materials and supplies for next school year.

For next school year, we would like to be able to have a variety of things that we need to be successful. Pencils, markers, colored pencils, fidget bands for the desk legs, reading highlight strips and educational manipulatives. There are also supplies like file folders to keep students work and IEPs/assessments and other papers organized as well as a label maker and a new bookcase to house student books for the reading corner. I feel that all of these materials will give my scholars the opportunity to be successful.
